This is how ADAPTIL® Calm works
Dogs communicate with each other via a messenger substance in the air, known as dog appeasing pheromones. These are produced and released by mother dogs during lactation and by adult dogs in the ear area. Odorless to humans, this messenger substance can only be perceived by dogs and gives dogs of all ages a strong sense of security and comfort. This messenger substance is also used in ADAPTIL®.
