Biatain Super is a highly absorbent hydrocapillary dressing that provides a moist wound environment for the healing of exuding wounds.

Suitable for highly exuding wounds:
Rapid absorption, distribution and storage of wound exudate enable full utilization of absorption capacity with minimal risk of maceration and leakage, even in highly exuding wounds.

Moist wound environment for optimal healing:
The hydrocapillary wound pad rapidly absorbs wound exudate vertically and distributes it horizontally. A non-adherent wound contact layer maintains a moist wound environment, thus ensuring optimal healing.

Complete, easy-to-use wound dressing:
Compared to other highly absorbent dressings, Biatain Super is a cost-effective solution that does not require an additional wound contact layer.

Mode of action:
Superabsorbent particles absorb and retain large amounts of wound exudate. Fibers distribute the exudate throughout the wound dressing, thus maximizing absorption. High water vapor permeability contributes to excellent wound exudate management.

Composition:
Biatain Super consists of a highly absorbent hydrocapillary wound pad with a semi-permeable, water- and bacteria-proof top film, a hydrocolloid component for adhesion, and a non-adherent wound contact layer. The dressing is available in self-adhesive and non-adherent versions.

Application:
Biatain Super can be used for a wide range of exuding wounds, particularly leg ulcers, pressure ulcers, diabetic foot syndrome, second-degree burns, postoperative wounds, and skin abrasions. Biatain Super can also be used with compression therapy.
