Lactobionic acid is a unique representative of this group, noted for its spectacular action and, at the same time, gentleness to the skin. Its exfoliating effect is imperceptible to the naked eye. Due to its relatively large particle size, it does not penetrate the skin as deeply as other acids, hence its less irritating effect. Therefore, the BIOUP Renewal Peel can be treated like a serum, but remains on the face for a short time and needs to be washed off.

A peeling formula was chosen, not a serum, because the low pH of the cosmetic (below 3) allows a much greater activity of lactobionic acid and gluconolactone. Therefore, our skin fully benefits from their properties. The peeling formula also allows easy and relatively infrequent use of the cosmetic product, without the need to permanently include another step in your daily care.

The effects of using lactobionic acid

Lactobionic acid and gluconolactone do not have spectacular effects at first and after the first or second use of the Renewing Peel, no significant differences are visible. Peeling does not give the skin an immediate sensation of smoothness, which we often expect from this type of cosmetic product. However, after a few applications, we gradually begin to feel its effects, and after about 1-1.5 months of systematic use twice a week, the first effects begin to be visible.

How to use BIOUP Renewing Peeling with PHA acids?

Apply a thin layer to the cleansed face, avoiding the eye and mouth area. Leave for 10-15 minutes and wash off with plenty of water. After the first few applications, you can extend the time of leaving the preparation on the skin to 20-30 minutes. The peel does not dry, but you can use a cotton pad or washcloth to remove it well. There is no need to neutralize the peeling.

Use 1-2 times a week as the start of evening care. After washing off the peel, follow the following care steps.

For best results, use the Renewing Peel systematically for a minimum of 2-3 months.

PHA acids are the mildest acids with low irritation potential. After using the peeling, the skin should not react intensely with a sensation of burning, heat or redness. However, every skin is different and due to the lower pH of the cosmetic, such a reaction can always occur. Therefore, before using it for the first time, test it on a small piece of skin. In case of a strong reaction, wash off the product immediately. Do not use on damaged skin or open inflammatory lesions.
