Composition
The active substance is bifonazole (Bifonazolum).
1 g of cream contains 10 mg of bifonazole.
Excipients: benzyl alcohol, cetostearyl alcohol, cetyl palmitate, polysorbate 60, octyldodecanol, purified water, sorbitan stearate.
Dosage
Always use this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as advised by your doctor or pharmacist.
The medicine should be taken once a day, preferably in the evening before bedtime.
Treatment with Canespor should be continued for an appropriate period of time.
Athlete's foot, including interdigital athlete's foot: 3 weeks.
Tinea of the trunk, hands and skin folds: 2-3 weeks.
Pityriasis versicolor: 2 weeks.
Erythrasma: 2 weeks.
Superficial skin candidiasis: 2-4 weeks.
Action
Bifonazole has a broad range of antifungal activity.

Contraindications
When not to use Canespor :
- if you are allergic to the active substance or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.
Side effects
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
Frequency unknown:
- pain at the injection site,
- peripheral edema,
- contact dermatitis,
- allergic dermatitis,
- erythema,
- itching,
- rash,
- hives,
- skin irritation,
- burning sensation on the skin.
Warnings and precautions
- Patients who have previously experienced hypersensitivity reactions to other imidazole antifungals should use bifonazole-containing drugs with caution.
- If symptoms persist or do not improve after discontinuing the medication, contact your doctor.
- Avoid contact of the medicine with eyes.
- Keep the medicine out of the sight and reach of children.
Use of other medications
Please tell your doctor or pharmacist about all the medicines you are taking, have recently taken or might take, including medicines obtained without a prescription.
Canespor may interact with:
- warfarin.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
Canespor should not be used during the first trimester of pregnancy.
If your doctor decides that you need to use Canespor while breastfeeding, you should stop breastfeeding.
Use of the drug in children and adolescents
In infants and small children, the drug may only be used on the advice and under the supervision of a physician.
