Colpofix® is an innovative medical device thanks to its formula, administration method and anatomical shape of the applicator. COLPOFIX® vaginal gel is sprayed in thin drops to easily reach and uniformly cover the cervico-vaginal mucosa. Its mucoadhesive properties prevent leaks.
Colpofix® acts locally through different mechanisms.
- Colpofix® forms a film that protects the cervico-vaginal mucosa from the harmful action of external microbial agents, thanks to its spray delivery and adhesion properties.
- Thanks to these hydrating properties, Colpofix® helps maintain the physiological conditions of a region of the cervix, known as the cervico-vaginal transformation zone, exposed to alterations caused by HPV.
- Colpofix® helps maintain a pH level favorable to the vaginal microbiota.
