Elastic bandages can be used both in healthcare - hospitals, clinics, and by individuals. Due to the fact that the bandages are a non-sterile product, they should not be used directly on wounds or abrasions. It is always necessary to protect the wound with a sterile dressing. Due to the high cotton content, the bandages are safe for the skin and are very well tolerated by people prone to allergies. The elastic bandage is a reusable product. According to the instructions on the packaging, it can be washed at a temperature of up to 40°C and dried loosely. The use of elastic bands: • as bands supporting extensive dressings on the limbs, head and torso, especially in places where the non-elastic band can slip • in compression therapy supporting venous circulation, in case of acute and chronic congestive edema, ulcers lower limbs and thrombophlebitis, therapeutically and after surgery for varicose veins of the lower limbs• as compression bandages for immobilizing joints or other parts of the body after injuries, sprains and damage to the musculoskeletal system• after surgery for securing and strengthening the skin• as a sports bandage
