Hallux valgus is often associated with pain in the plantar area because the big toe no longer plays its supporting role and the load it once supported is naturally distributed on the 2nd and 3rd metatarsals.
As a result, horny, calloused and sometimes painful areas appear at the base of the 2nd and 3rd toes.
The double corrective orthosis was developed to limit the development of hallux valgus (correcting the axis of the big toe) and protect the forefoot.

Unlike classic hallux valgus splints, the Orthèse Corrective Hallux Valgus Double is flexible and ultra-thin: it easily adapts to any shoe and can be worn every day.
It acts effectively on all the factors that aggravate the deformity during walking:

The patented EPITHELIUMTM Flex external silicone tendon helps straighten the big toe. The level of correction can be adjusted by applying different degrees of tension to the tendon.
The EPITHELIUMTM FLEX external tendon also absorbs pressure on the exostosis ("hallux valgus") to relieve pain.
The EpitheliumTM pad creates a comfortable counterbalance with the shoe and helps push the 1st metatarsal back.
The Extra metatarsal support band limits flattening and widening of the forefoot.
