• Adhesive: Hypoallergenic, solvent-free, natural rubber latex-free adhesive, suitable for the particularly delicate and sensitive skin of children. Removal is comfortable and prevents trauma even with prolonged use.
• 100% colored cotton non-woven backing that allows the skin to breathe, preventing sweating and providing high comfort. The shape of the closure device optimally adapts to the anatomy of the eye area.
• Central cushion made of a very thin trilaminate material, inside which there is a black photoabsorbing screen that prevents light from outside from filtering through.
• Shape: The shape of the patch is elongated in the area where it adheres to the nasal bridge, allowing glasses to be worn correctly while the occluder is worn. The glasses are well aligned, preventing blurred vision and discomfort for the patient. The elongated shape of the patch prevents lateral light filtering. This feature of ORTOPAD prevents abnormal movement of the eye muscles, which can aggravate the condition. Incisions in the area where the patch adheres to the nasal septum effectively prevent the formation of wrinkles on the patch, which could lead to premature detachment of the occluder and a reduction in comfort during orthoptic therapy.
