Flora Defense contains pure Saccharomyces boulardii yeast cultures and Lactobacillus rhamnosus lactic acid bacteria, as well as a prebiotic (oligofructose).

Saccharomyces cerevisiae var boulardii – has a natural resistance to antibiotics, except for some quinolones and antifungals. This yeast is not digested in the digestive tract. Saccharomyces boulardii secretes a protease that inactivates toxin A produced by Clostridium difficile.

Lactobacillus rhamnosus - by producing lactic acid, it supports the decrease in pH in the intestine, thus inhibiting the development of pathogenic microorganisms. Its ability to stop the colonization of the gastrointestinal tract with Clostridium perfringens in dogs is approximately 80%. The metabolites produced by Lactobacillus rhamnosus stimulate both local and general immunity of the body. In addition, by increasing the intake of this strain in the diet, an increased sensitivity to insulin and a more effective decrease in body weight resulted. It has also been shown that by supplementing the diet of animals with L. Rhamnosus, the concentration of GABA increases - a neurotransmitter that improves mood disorders and reduces the general level of anxiety.

The product can be administered simultaneously with antibiotic treatment.

USE:

Recommended daily amount of product to be administered depending on the animal's body weight:

• Animals under < 20 kg body weight – 1 capsule
• Large dogs 20-40 kg body weight – 2 capsules
• Very large dogs > 40 kg body weight – 3 capsules.

The product is presented in the form of capsules that can be opened. It is recommended to mix the product with pet food, wet food or water. The recommended daily dose can be divided into several smaller portions throughout the day.
