The sterile, magnesium-containing, tissue-compatible citric acid solution can be used to flush the bladder and bladder catheter in a closed system.
Calcium deposits in and around the catheter and bladder can be dissolved.
1000 ml contains:
Magnesium hydroxide carbonate 28.40 g
Citric acid, anhydrous 57.70 g
D-Gluconolactone 8.30 g
Magnesium citrate, anhydrous 2.76 g
Citric acid 6% (for pH adjustments) maximum 3.462 g
Water for injection up to 1000 ml
pH value: 3.4-4.5
