For hemostasis and wound care, Gelaspon Strip is a sterile, absorbable gelatin sponge for treating small, superficial wounds. It has a high absorbency for blood and wound exudate. Gelaspon Strips, measuring 4 x 1 x 1 cm, are individually sterile-wrapped and can be removed from superficial wounds painlessly and without leaving any residue. Made from 100% porcine gelatin, Gelaspon Strips, with their fine-pored structure, support blood clotting. They have a high absorbency for blood and wound exudate. As a wound dressing, the strips dissolve within two to three days. Gelaspon Strips can be used to stop bleeding in cases of mild to moderate nosebleeds, for the treatment of superficial wounds, and after tooth extraction. Gelaspon Strips can be used like a sterile tamponade and can stop nosebleeds within minutes. CARE OF WOUNDS: Small cuts and scrapes can happen quickly during sports and around the house. After cleaning the wounds, Gelaspon Strips can quickly stop the bleeding. Simply apply the strip to the wound and, if necessary, secure it with a plaster for better hold. AFTER TOOTH EXTRACTIONS: Gelaspon Strips are helpful in aftercare and support rapid wound healing after a tooth is removed. The sterile Gelaspon Strips can be adjusted to the size of the wound and can be replaced painlessly and without leaving any residue.

APPLICATION RECOMMENDATIONS:

Gelaspon Strips can be applied dry or wet.

Gelaspon strips can be cut to the size and shape of the wound using sterile scissors.

To stop a nosebleed: Insert one Gelaspon Strip into the affected nostril. The Gelaspon Strip can be gently squeezed to make insertion easier.

If nosebleeds do not stop even after using a second Gelaspon Strip, a doctor should be consulted.

Wound care: For dry wounds, it is recommended to use Gelaspon Strip moistened; for moist wounds, use dry.

To stop bleeding: Apply a Gelaspon strip until the bleeding stops.

For exudate wounds, Gelaspon Strip forms a gel, enabling painless dressing changes.

Use Gelaspon Strip immediately after opening the individual packaging to ensure sterility.
