Cough syrup HerbalSept Duo, 100 ml, Zdrovit

Coughing is a defensive reflex of the body to eliminate substances that irritate or obstruct the airways so that breathing and oxygen flow can work efficiently. Foreign bodies, dust, smoke, mucus or food particles, stimulate receptors in the airways that send signals to the brain and thus the cough reflex is activated.

Properties:

• by means of high-quality natural plant extracts – mallow, hibiscus and honey – the syrup soothes irritations on the pharyngeal and oral mucosa;
• the active ingredients coat the upper respiratory tract mucosa like a balm, protecting it against further attacks;
• relieves sore throat and relieves productive cough.

Ingredients:

Mallow extract.
Mallow is a medicinal plant with an important role in phytotherapy, being appreciated for its special qualities. The medicinal properties of the mallow root come from the mucilage that the plant produces, which contains antioxidants and flavonoids that cover and protect the mucous membrane of the throat. Thus, the cough is relieved.

Hibiscus extract.
In the case of cough, the main action of Hibiscus extract is to dissolve phlegm and reduce its adhesion and thickness. Due to this mucolytic action, it is indicated in case of productive cough with excessive amounts of mucus.

Honey - is an ingredient with demulcent action (soothing throat irritation) and emollient. It also has anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties.
