Kendamil® Comfort is a nutritionally complete formula for infants suffering from colic or constipation.

This nutritionally complete formula can be fed to infants from birth as their sole source of nutrition when breastfeeding is not an option. It is also suitable from the end of 6 months to the age of 1 year as part of a mixed diet.

Kendamil® Comfort infant formula powder contains partially hydrolyzed protein and reduced lactose*.

Kendamil® specialty formulas are intended for infants who, for various reasons, are not breastfed and who struggle to digest standard infant and follow-on formulas. These specialty formulas were developed by pediatric nutrition experts at Kendal Nutricare, who have over 50 years of experience. Remember that the decision to use them should be made by a pediatrician or pediatric dietitian.

Food for special medical purposes for the dietary management of colic and constipation in infants from birth to 12 months of age.

How to use:

• Infants from birth to 12 months of age: 1 level scoop (4.3 g powder) per 30 ml of freshly boiled, chilled water
• 0-1 week of age (weight 3 kg): 3 scoops of powder + 90 ml of water 6 times daily,
• 1-4 weeks of age (weight 3.5 kg): 4 scoops of powder + 120 ml of water 5 times daily,
• 1-2 months of age (weight 4.5 kg): 4 scoops of powder + 120 ml of water 5 times daily,
• 3 months of age (weight 5.5 kg): 5 scoops of powder + 150 ml of water 5 times daily,
• 4-6 months of age (weight 6.5 kg): 6 scoops of powder + 180 ml of water 5 times daily,
• 7-12 months of age: 7 scoops of powder + 210 ml of water 3 times daily.
• Children over 6 months of age need to drink approximately 600 ml of milk daily, along with other foods.

• Every child is different and may require smaller or larger doses than those listed above
• For advice, consult your dietitian or pediatrician. Wash your hands, sterilize all utensils and the bottle
• Boil drinking water suitable for infants and let it cool to approximately 70°C (remember, do not reuse boiled water)
• Using the measuring cup included in the package, add the appropriate number of scoops to the bottle of water, leveling them up to the rim inside the package.
• Recap the bottle and shake well to dissolve the powder
• Remove the cap and replace it with a sterilized nipple
• Before giving the formula to your baby, check the milk temperature on the inside of your wrist
• Wash the bottle and nipple immediately after use.

Warnings:

• Breastfeeding is the most natural way to feed babies and offers many benefits to both parents; it should be continued for as long as possible
• This product should only be used under medical supervision and after considering all feeding options, including breastfeeding
• Kendamil® Anti-Colic powder is not intended for parenteral use
• This product should not be used as the sole source of nutrition
• Do not use in individuals without the above-mentioned medical conditions, health disorders, or without medically indicated indications
• Before using this product, read the information on the recommended intake and directions for use on the packaging
• Your doctor may recommend a dosing period and a serving size tailored to your dietary needs
• It is recommended to use the appropriate number of measured scoops, as directed in the instructions (your child may feel unwell if you use more or fewer scoops than recommended)
• If you do not use the prepared milk within 2 hours of preparation, discard it and prepare new milk
• Do not add products such as cow's milk, etc., to infant formula
• Do not heat in a microwave
• A fast-flow or variable-flow pacifier is recommended for feeding, as it has a denser structure than traditional infant formula
• If your child's digestive system is underdeveloped, it may have a reduced ability to digest lactose or protein. Correctly following preparation instructions is important for children's health
• When bottle-feeding, avoid unnecessary, prolonged contact of the pacifier with the child's teeth, as this increases the risk of tooth decay
• Remember to maintain your child's oral hygiene after every meal, especially before bedtime
• Store in the tightly closed, original packaging, in a dry place, below 25°C (do not refrigerate)
• Once opened, use within 4 weeks.
