La Roche-Posay Effaclar with peeling properties was created for people with acne-prone skin. The cosmetic was tested on acne-prone skin. The formula is based on a combination of three acids and vitamin B3, where:

• Salicylic acid dissolves in fat, so in addition to its exfoliating properties, it also has the ability to penetrate deep into the skin. It can get inside the hair follicles, which is important in the treatment of acne.
• LHA (lipohydroxy acids) have anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties, so they promote the healing of pimples and irritations.
• Glycolic acid supports the regeneration of the epidermis.
