DescriptionEssential oil obtained by steam distillation from the leaves of Melaleuca alternifolia (Maiden & Betche) Cheel (origin Australia).
Components
>30% terpinen-4-ol; 10-58% gamma-terpinene; 5-13% alpha-terpinene; <15% cineole; 0.5-12% pcymene; 1.5-8% alpha-terpineol; <7.0%; aromadendrene; 1-6% alpha-pinene; 1.5-5% terpinolene; 0.5-4%; limonene; <3.5% sabinene (Ph. Eur. ed. 7 and confirmed on Australian Tea Tree Industry Association).
Conservation
Storage conditions: 4 to 30 °C.
Shelf life when packaging is intact: 36 months.
