Mepilex Border Flex is a self-adhesive, absorbent foam dressing that maintains a moist wound environment, thus supporting optimal wound healing. The waterproof outer layer forms a barrier against dirt and bacteria, protecting the wound from external contamination. Thanks to its flexible, multi-layered padding, the dressing conforms well to the skin and offers comfortable wear.

Gentle adhesion and high wearing comfort

The wound contact layer with Safetac technology consists of adhesive, soft silicone and ensures that the dressing stays securely in place. Removal is gentle on the surrounding skin, reducing the risk of pain and trauma to the wound. The partially perforated wound pad with Flex-Cut technology further enhances the dressing's flexibility, allowing it to adapt well to moving body parts.

Instructions for use

Clean the wound and surrounding skin before applying the dressing, following the instructions from your doctor or pharmacist. Dry the surrounding skin thoroughly before applying the dressing. Apply Mepilex Border Flex so that the wound is completely covered by the dressing and the adhesive edges adhere well to the skin. Change the dressing as recommended by your doctor or pharmacist.

Ingredients

Mepilex Border Flex consists of a wound contact layer made of adhesive soft silicone (Safetac) and a backing film, a flexible, three-layer absorbent pad (foam, distribution layer made of non-woven fabric, layer of highly absorbent fibers), and a breathable, waterproof outer film. The dressing material contains silicone, polyurethane, polyacrylate, cotton, viscose, polyester, and polyolefin.
