Naturlider Lichen Iceland , 40 grams
Description
What is it and what is it used for?
Naturlider dried Iceland moss (Cetraia islandica) leaves are derived from the symbiosis between an alga and a fungus. Rich in mucilage, they protect internal areas of the body, such as mucous membranes, and help to alleviate vomiting and nausea. This infusion has mild laxative, antidiarrheal, and hydrating effects. It facilitates the expulsion of bile and mucus secretions. It is very beneficial for treating and relieving respiratory tract conditions resulting from flu, colds, dry coughs, and bronchial inflammation. It soothes gum inflammation and promotes the healing of canker sores.
It also stimulates urine production and inhibits fluid retention. Applying Iceland moss as a poultice to the skin soothes sensitive, reactive skin and reduces inflammation, rashes, and redness. It has antibacterial properties and acts as a natural antibiotic, inhibiting the proliferation of harmful microorganisms. It is an expectorant, analgesic, and reduces inflammation of the respiratory tract. Furthermore, it promotes recovery from colds and flu.
On the other hand, it promotes healthy bowel function and, thanks to its slightly bitter taste, can stimulate appetite and alleviate constipation. It is often used as an adjunct treatment for chronic digestive conditions such as irritable bowel syndrome, acid reflux, and food poisoning. It helps soothe minor stomach infections and regulates gastric acid production. Regular consumption of Iceland moss tea supports nutrition and digestion.
