Description
Preservative-free hyperosmolar ophthalmic solution.
It is recommended to reduce postoperative and post-traumatic corneal edema, as well as that caused by corneal dystrophy. Corneal edema occurs when the cornea has an abnormal accumulation of fluid.
ODM 5 hypersaline solution uses osmosis to draw excess fluid from the cornea, allowing it to temporarily regain optimal hydration. ODM 5 thus helps improve the quality of vision.
It contains sodium hyaluronate, a component naturally present in the eye, which helps protect the cornea due to its lubricating properties.

How to use
Wash your hands thoroughly before instillation.
Before first use, check that the safety ring is intact and then remove it. Remove the protective cap by pulling upwards. Place the bottle over the eye, with the tip pointing downwards. Hold the bottle in the centre between your thumb and forefinger. Gently squeeze the bottle, applying progressive force with your thumb and forefinger, until a drop of ophthalmic solution appears.
Instill 1-2 drops 4 times a day, as prescribed by your doctor. Instill the drops into the lower conjunctival sac of the eye, looking up and gently pulling down the lower eyelid. After instillation, keep the eye closed for 1-2 minutes.
Replace the protective cap after each use, ensuring that no residual drops remain on the tip; if necessary, remove them with a firm movement of the wrist.
Avoid contact of the tip of the bottle with the eye and eyelids.
No need to rinse after use.

components
Sodium chloride 5%, sodium hyaluronate 0.15%.
Other ingredients: purified water, sodium citrate dihydrate, citric acid monohydrate, hydroxypropylmethylcellulose.

Do not ingest.
Do not use the bottle if it is damaged.
Do not use after the expiry date stated on the bottle. Close the bottle tightly after each use, ensuring that no residual drops remain at the tip.
Avoid contact of the tip of the vial with hands, eyes and eyelids. Avoid touching or wiping the tip with fingers or a non-sterile tissue.
If your doctor has prescribed another eye drop, allow at least 15 minutes between instillations.
Keep out of sight and reach of children.
Contraindicated in case of hypersensitivity to one of the components and in case of contact lenses (ODM 5 is not compatible with contact lenses).
In some cases, transient discomfort may occur during instillation, such as a slight burning or itching sensation, as well as temporary blurred vision. If side effects persist or if you experience side effects not described in the leaflet, discontinue use and consult a doctor.

Conservation
Store at room temperature (between +2°C and +25°C).
Shelf life after opening: 3 months.
