Application and suitable lens types

Alcon's care solutions are suitable for soft contact lenses, especially those made of silicone hydrogel, as well as for rigid gas permeable contact lenses (depending on the product information). The multi-functional solutions, such as OPTI-FREE PureMoist and RepleniSH, are generally used for rinsing, cleaning, disinfecting, and storing lenses. AOSEPT PLUS and AOSEPT PLUS with HydraGlyde utilize peroxide technology and are applied using a special case with a neutralizing disc. OPTI-FREE PRO rewetting drops for contact lenses can be applied directly to the eye while wearing the lenses. OPTI-FREE PRO lubricating eye drops are used before or after wearing contact lenses to stabilize the tear film.

Instructions for correct use

Clean your contact lenses according to the manufacturer's instructions: Generally, remove the lenses in the evening, rinse them with the solution, gently rub them, and then place them in the contact lens case for several hours to disinfect them. For AOSEPT PLUS and AOSEPT PLUS with HydraGlyde, briefly rinse the lens basket with the solution before placing it in the case and then leave it in the solution for about 6 hours until neutralization is complete. Apply 1–2 drops of rewetting drops per eye as needed. Always follow the instructions on the packaging and use only the special lens case provided, if applicable.

Important warnings and safety instructions

For hygienic reasons, contact lens solutions and rewetting drops are non-exchangeable and cannot be returned. Never use AOSEPT PLUS and AOSEPT PLUS with HydraGlyde directly in the eye, but only in the provided case and only after complete neutralization. Wear your contact lenses only if the solution and lenses have been properly disinfected and no irritation occurs. If redness, pain, or persistent discomfort occurs, remove the lenses and consult your eye doctor or pharmacist. Also, follow all instructions on the packaging and in the package insert of the respective product.
