Description

Peptamen 2.0 enteral, liquid – is a food for special medical purposes for the dietary management of malnutrition or at risk of malnutrition in patients with malabsorption and/or digestive disorders and/or for whom a high-energy diet or fluid restriction is recommended. Suitable for enteral nutrition, this product is a nutritionally complete, normoprotein (9.2 g/100 ml; 18% energy), liquid peptide diet, high in energy (2 kcal/ml), containing 70% fat in the form of MCTs.

Water, maltodextrin, hydrolysed whey protein (from milk), medium chain triglycerides (MCT) oil, soybean oil, minerals (calcium phosphate, sodium chloride, potassium chloride, sodium citrate, magnesium oxide, sodium phosphate, ferrous sulfate, zinc sulfate, manganese sulfate, copper sulfate, sodium fluoride, chromium chloride, potassium iodide, sodium selenite, sodium molybdate), emulsifier (soy lecithin), fish oil, choline bitartrate, vitamins (C, E, niacin, pantothenic acid, thiamine, B6, riboflavin, A, folic acid, K, biotin, D), L-carnitine.

For the management of malnutrition and/or risk of malnutrition in patients with digestive and/or absorption disorders and/or in whom a high-energy diet or a fluid-restricted diet is recommended, e.g. in wasting diseases in debilitated patients, e.g. with oncological diseases, in patients after a stay in the ICU undergoing rehabilitation or remaining in long-term care, in patients with neurological diseases undergoing rehabilitation or remaining in long-term care, in patients with fluid restrictions with heart or liver failure, after extensive abdominal surgery.

Recommended daily intake

750-1000 ml as sole nutrition or ≥ 500 ml as complementary nutrition or as directed by a physician. Suitable for adults.

How to use

Shake well before use. Store unopened containers in a cool, dry place. Once opened, use within 24 hours. After opening, reseal any unused portion, store in the refrigerator, and use within 24 hours. Any portion of the product transferred to another container should be resealed tightly and consumed within 6 hours.

Safety Warnings

Use under medical supervision. Suitable for use as a sole source of nutrition. Suitable for adults. Not suitable for patients with cow's milk allergy. Do not add food or medications. To maintain a constant flow, use of an enteral feeding pump is recommended.

Contraindications and precautions

Do not use this product if you are hypersensitive to any of the liquid's ingredients. This product contains milk proteins, fish oil, and soy lecithin. Not suitable for patients with a cow's milk allergy.
