This aerial plant loves the garrigue of southern Europe and calcareous soils, fears the cold and has pale purple flowers arranged in soft spikes at the top of the long stems.
Its flowering and harvesting are later than true lavender.
Lavender spigo provides an essential oil qualified for emergencies as it is defined as "miraculous" for relieving and healing serious burns and wasp stings almost instantly. Having needed it in these circumstances would prove, if necessary, that aromatherapy is a medicine in all respects.
Advice: on a wasp, jellyfish or scorpion sting, apply 2 drops of lavender spike every 5 minutes for 1/2 hour.
The result is almost "miraculous".
