Resource® Protein is a nutritionally complete, high-protein liquid diet.

Nestlé's Foods for Special Medical Purposes are intended for the dietary management of malnutrition and/or risk of malnutrition, which may be accompanied by increased disease-related protein requirements.

The Resource® Protein liquid preparation can be administered to patients as the sole source of food or as a dietary supplement, especially in cancer patients, the elderly, perioperatively, and during convalescence.

Indications:

• in cancer
• in chronic diseases
• in the elderly
• in the perioperative period
• during convalescence.

For oral administration or by gavage.

Ingredients:

Water, milk protein, glucose syrup, sucrose, vegetable oil (rapeseed), minerals (potassium chloride, potassium citrate, sodium citrate, magnesium citrate, magnesium oxide, iron (II) sulfate, zinc sulfate, manganese sulfate, copper (II) sulfate), sodium fluoride, chromium (III) chloride, sodium molybdate (VI), potassium iodide, sodium selenate (VI), emulsifier (E471), flavoring, starch, vitamins (C, E, niacin, pantothenic acid, B6, A, thiamin, riboflavin, folic acid, K, biotin, D), stabilizer (carrageenan), color (E120).

100 ml of liquid contains:

• Energy 527 kJ/125 kcal
• Fat 3.5 g (of which: saturated fatty acids 0.5 g, monounsaturated fatty acids 2.1 g, polyunsaturated fatty acids 0.9 g), carbohydrates 14 g (of which: sugars 6.5 g, lactose <0.5 g), protein 9.4 g, salt 0.20 g
• Vitamin A 120 µg, vitamin D 1.3 µg, vitamin E 2.3 mg, vitamin K 10 µg, vitamin C 16 mg, vitamin B1 0.2 mg, riboflavin 0.23 mg, niacin 0.9 mg, vitamin B6 0.25 mg, folic acid 35 µg, vitamin B12 0.65 µg, pantothenic acid 0.65 mg, sodium 80 mg, potassium 155 mg, chloride 100 mg, calcium 120 mg, phosphorus 100 mg, magnesium 23 mg, iron 1.5 mg, zinc 1.3 mg, copper 0.17 µg, manganese 0.27 mg, fluoride 0.12 mg, selenium 7.5 µg, chromium 5.5 µg, molybdenum 11 µg, iodine 17 µg
• Osmolarity 390 mOsm/l, water content 80 g/100 ml.

How to use: 

• 1-3 bottles per day as a supplement to your daily diet or as directed by your doctor if used as the sole food source
• This product is intended for direct consumption
• Drink slowly
• Best served chilled.

Contraindications:

• Do not use if allergic to any of the ingredients
• Do not administer to children under 3 years of age
• Store the closed container in a cool, dry place
• After opening, close the unused portion, refrigerate, and consume within 24 hours
• Any portion poured into another container must be tightly closed and consumed within 6 hours
• Use under medical supervision
• Suitable for use as the sole source of nutrition
• The product is not intended for parenteral use
• Do not use in people who do not suffer from the above-mentioned diseases or health conditions or who have no medical indications for its use
• Before starting to use the preparation, read the information on the recommended intake and directions for use provided on the packaging
• Suitable for ages 3 years and up
• Do not add food or medication if the product is administered through a tube.
