Description
Souvenaid is a food for special medical purposes, designed to meet the specific needs of people experiencing age-related cognitive decline. It contains Fortasyn Connect, a unique and patented combination of nutrients (omega-3 fatty acids, phospholipids, choline, uridine monophosphate, vitamin E, vitamin C, vitamins B6, B12, folic acid and selenium) that act directly on the synapses in the brain.
Souvenaid has demonstrated its effectiveness in three scientifically validated clinical studies:
- in subjects with mild Alzheimer's disease, verbal memory performance improved after 12 weeks of treatment;
- in subjects with mild Alzheimer's disease, global memory improves after 24 and 48 weeks of treatment;
- in subjects with cognitive decline, administration of Souvenaid for 24 months led to improvements in cognitive and functional performance and episodic memory.
Souvenaid also demonstrated 90% tolerability.
Souvenaid is a ready-to-drink preparation, packaged in a bottle, to be administered once a day.
A serving of Souvenaid provides 125 kcal and contains low levels of other minerals, trace elements and vitamins.
