What is demodecosis:

• The human Demodex mite (Demodex folliculorum) is a parasite of mites. It resides in the sebaceous glands of human skin and hair follicles, causing a dermatological disease called demodecosis, which manifests itself in the form of purplish pustules. The parasite feeds on sebum and blood plasma filtrate, as well as the secretion of sebaceous glands and epithelial cells
