- the Streptococcus A rapid test is a specific, immunological test, designed to selectively detect the presence of Strep A antigens from a sample collected from the throat (pharyngeal collection);

Before testing, please read carefully the complete instructions in the leaflet. The sample is collected from the throat, using the swab.
Allow the test, reagents, throat swab sample, and/or controls to reach room temperature (15-30°C) before testing.
1. Remove the test kit from the sealed foil bag and use it as soon as possible. The best results will be obtained if the test is performed immediately after opening the foil bag.
2. Hold the vial of Reagent A vertically and add approximately 240 µL (25 tests/kit: 4 drops, 1 test/kit: 6 drops) of Reagent A to an extraction test tube. Reagent A is red. Hold the vial of Reagent B upright and add approximately 160 µL (25
tests/kit: 4 drops, 1 test/kit: 4 drops) in tube. Reagent B is colorless. Mix the solution by gently shaking the extraction tube. Adding Reagent B to Reagent A changes the color of the solution from red to yellow.
3. Immediately add the throat swab to the test tube with the yellow extraction solution.
Shake the buffer 10 times in the tube. Leave the swab in the tube for 1 minute. Then press the tampon against the side of the tube and squeeze the bottom of the tube while removing the tampon. Throw away the tampon. 4. Fit the dropper tip over the extraction test tube. Place the test kit on a clean, flat surface. Add 3 full drops of solution (approximately 100 µL) to the sample well (S) and then start the timer. 5. Wait for the colored line(s) to appear. Read the result after 5 minutes. Do not read the result after 10 minutes.
