Why does it work?
Vital mushrooms such as cordyceps , maitake ( Grifola frondosa ) and shiitake ( Lentinus edodes ) show significant potential in the prevention and treatment of osteoporosis thanks to their multi-directional properties. Their action focuses on regulating key processes responsible for maintaining bone health, including the balance between osteoblasts - bone-forming cells - and osteoclasts, which in excess of the norm may be responsible for reducing bone density.
- Cordyceps militaris plays an important role thanks to the content of cordycepin and other bioactive compounds that have anti-inflammatory and immunomodulatory effects. By inhibiting excessive inflammatory processes, cordyceps counteracts the increased activity of osteoclasts, which is the main cause of bone density loss. Additionally, the effect of the fungus on the regulation of steroidogenesis helps maintain the appropriate level of estrogen, which is particularly important for postmenopausal women, who are most at risk of developing osteoporosis. Animal studies have shown that cordyceps increases bone mineralization, supporting the absorption of calcium and its deposition in bone tissue.
- Maitake (Grifola frondosa ) supports bone health both directly and through its prebiotic effects. Extracts from this mushroom inhibit the activity of osteoclasts and at the same time stimulate osteoblasts, promoting the regeneration of bone tissue. Thanks to the content of beta-glucans and dietary fiber, maitake also has a positive effect on the intestinal microflora, improving the absorption of calcium and phosphorus - two key ingredients necessary to maintain proper bone density. This effect is additionally enhanced by the ability to lower the pH in the intestines, which further increases the bioavailability of these minerals.
- Japanese hardwood , or shiitake (Lentinus edodes), has a synergistic effect with maitake in the context of bone protection. Shiitake extracts reduce the degradation processes within bones, while supporting osteoblasts responsible for the regeneration of bone tissue. The anti-inflammatory and prebiotic effects of the mushroom further support intestinal health by improving the absorption of minerals. Laboratory tests also confirmed that shiitake effectively inhibits osteoclastogenesis, limiting bone destruction caused by excessive activity of osteoclast cells.
How to use: To achieve the best results, consume one measuring cup, i.e. 1 g of the preparation per day. Add it to your morning coffee, tea or smoothie to immediately feel the benefits of vital mushrooms. You can also enrich yogurts, cereals, sandwiches or other favorite dishes by introducing more natural nutrients into your diet. When taking products made from powdered, ground fruiting bodies of vital mushrooms, remember to use them for 5 days and then take a 2-day break. (!) Long-term use may overload the immune system. During the 2-day break, the immune system will have time to rest to be ready for the next injection of the extraordinary power of vital mushrooms. Remember not to exceed the recommended daily dose to maintain balance and make the most of the properties of the preparation.
Precautions: The supplement cannot be used as a substitute for a varied diet. People taking medications should consult a doctor before use. Not recommended for children and pregnant and breastfeeding women.
