Medium chain triglycerides (MCTs) are a type of saturated fat, consisting of fatty acids with 6-10 carbon atoms in the chain. They can be found mainly in coconut oil, palm kernel oil and dairy products. Caprylic acid contains eight carbon atoms, which is why it is also called octanoic acid.
Swanson® Caprylic Acid is just 1 capsule twice daily taken before meals. The package contains 60 gelatin capsules ensuring a month's supply.
