Description
NarkoTest THC Self-Test is an accurate strip test used to detect the presence of THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) and its metabolites in urine . THC is the main psychoactive ingredient in marijuana, traces of which can remain in the body for several days or even weeks, depending on frequency of use and individual metabolism.
How does a THC home test work?
The test detects a THC metabolite—11-nor-Δ9-THC-9-COOH—that is produced in the body after consuming marijuana. This substance is produced in the liver after consuming marijuana and remains in the body longer than THC itself. The test detects its presence, allowing identification of marijuana use even several days after use.
This is a qualitative test , meaning it reports the presence or absence of a given substance without providing its exact concentration. Thanks to immunochromatographic technology, a chemical reaction occurs when the strip is immersed in urine, and the result can be read in just 5 minutes . Two lines indicate a negative result (no THC), while one line indicates a positive result (the presence of THC).
The test is more than 99% accurate and has a detection limit of 50 ng/ml, meaning a positive result will occur when the metabolite concentration in the sample reaches this level or higher.
How long does it take for THC to disappear from urine?
The presence of THC in urine depends on many factors, including frequency of use, amount ingested, body weight, metabolism, and hydration level. Example detection periods:
- single use: up to 3 days,
- occasional use: 3-7 days,
- regular use: up to 15 days,
- intensive, daily use: over 30 days.
The NarkoTest THC test strip is a quick and reliable tool for detecting the presence of marijuana in urine, suitable for use in addiction therapy, schools, workplaces and for self-use as an effective method of control.
