Milk thistle grows up to 700 m altitude in arid, rocky soil throughout western and southern Europe, as well as in North Africa.
Milk thistle is rich in flavonoids called silymarin - composed of three isomeric flavonolignamis: silidianin, silycristin and silybin, bitter principles, tyramine and histamine.
These active ingredients, present in the seeds, perform a protective and regenerative action on the membranes of the liver cells, blocking access to a series of substances that clog the liver.
If combined with Rosemary and Dandelion, rich in bitter principles, its detoxifying action is strengthened.
The liver is responsible for processing all nutrients, such as sugars, lipids, proteins, vitamins, etc.
