URGOSTART Border 10x10 cm for the treatment of chronic and slow-healing wounds

URGOSTART Border is a foam dressing for covering and treating chronic and slow-healing skin wounds. It is used particularly for lower leg ulcers, diabetic foot ulcers, and pressure ulcers (decubitus ulcers). The dressing is also intended for other wounds with prolonged or delayed healing. It is suitable for wounds whose wound bed is predominantly covered with reddish granulation tissue and, thanks to its multi-layered structure, supports controlled moisture management and protects the wound from external elements.

The dressing is specifically designed for wounds that are already predominantly covered with granulation tissue.

URGOSTART Border Structure and Properties

The absorbent polyurethane foam dressing is coated with TLC-NOSF technology. This lipidocolloid technology with nano-oligosaccharide factor contains liquid paraffin, sodium carboxymethylcellulose (CMC), potassium sucrose octasulfate, and polymers. A superabsorbent layer of cellulose and polymers absorbs excess wound exudate. The backing is vapor-permeable and waterproof, protecting the wound from external elements. The silicone adhesive border ensures that the dressing adheres to the skin.

URGOSTART Border Application Notes

The wound should be cleaned and prepared according to the instructions of the medical treatment or wound care. Apply the dressing so that the pad completely covers the wound. Gently press down the silicone adhesive edge to ensure the dressing adheres securely to the wound edges. The dressing should be checked regularly and changed as needed, following the treatment instructions. If you have any questions, consult a doctor or pharmacist.
