How does Voltaren Pain Gel Forte work?

Voltaren Pain Relief Gel Forte is used for the symptomatic treatment of pain and has analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects. The Voltaren gel contains the proven active ingredient diclofenac in double the concentration*, which inhibits an enzyme in the body that triggers pain and inflammation.
When applied to the skin, the active ingredient accumulates in the painful and inflamed tissue and acts locally and for a long time where it is needed.
Applied twice daily, ideally morning and evening, the body builds up a depot of the active ingredient diclofenac at the application site. This provides relief from discomfort such as pain after sports injuries throughout the day.
