Arm blood pressure monitor BM 59, Beurer [4211125102272]
- BM 59 uses Deflation technology, which means that it measures the tension and pulse at the level of the arm, when the air is released from the cuff;
- the very large screen clearly displays the results, and the colored LED will indicate if the blood pressure is in the ideal range;
- wireless and automatic measurement at arm level;
- wireless transfer of measurement results;
- design without hoses, without cable;
- rechargeable battery;
- message for incorrect use;
- indicator for discharged battery;
- for an arm circumference of 22 - 42 cm.
The tensiometer is used according to the user manual.
1. Commissioning: Before the first measurement, connect the device to the "Beurer HealthManager Pro" app.
To log in, follow the instructions in the app.
We recommend that you fully charge the device before putting it into operation.
Connect the device to a USB power supply using the USB-C cable included in the delivery package.
The device cannot be used during the charging process.
2. Logging in to the "Beurer HealthManager Pro" app
Regular login to the "Beurer HealthManager Pro" app is required to set the correct time on the device:
Condition: Bluetooth® connection established.
No time is displayed on the device: "APP" flashes on the screen.
Bluetooth connection failed: "NO TIME" is displayed on the screen.
Bluetooth connection successful: Synchronizing the time.
If the process is successful, the screen will show "TIME".
If you want to skip setting the time, press .
"NO TIME" appears on the screen.
Please note that later measurements may appear in the "Beurer HealthManager Pro" app with an incorrect time.
3. Blood pressure measurement: Condition: Cuff is applied, user is selected.
Measuring:
A. Press the start/stop button. All items on the display appear briefly.
The cuff will inflate automatically.
The measurement process starts. The "heart" indicator is displayed as soon as a pulse is detected.
To interrupt the measurement, press the start/stop button.
B. Systolic pressure, diastolic pressure and pulse measurement results are displayed alternately. "Er" appears if the measurement could not be performed properly. In this case, refer to the "Troubleshooting" chapter in the user manual.
If necessary, reapply the cuff after 1 minute.
The device turns off automatically after 30 seconds.
The values measured by you are for indicative purposes only, they do not replace a medical consultation!
Discuss your measured values with a doctor, but never make medical decisions based on them (for example, decisions about the dose of medication)!
The device may only be used for the purpose described in the instructions for use.
The manufacturer cannot be held responsible for defects caused by improper or careless use of the device.
Using the sphygmomanometer outside the private environment or during movement (e.g. during travel by vehicle, ambulance or helicopter, as well as during physical activities such as sports) may influence the measurement accuracy and lead to measurement errors.
Diseases of the cardiovascular system can lead to erroneous measurements, respectively to the impairment of measurement accuracy.
In the event of any of the following conditions, a doctor's approval must be obtained before using the device: Arrhythmias, circulatory problems, diabetes, pregnancy, pre-eclampsia, hypotonia, chills or tremors.
Do not use the device concurrently with other medical electrical devices (ME devices).
This may result in malfunction of the measuring device and/or inaccurate measurements.
Take care that the functions of the affected limbs are not affected while inflating the cuff.
Do not take measurements more often than necessary.
Due to the restriction of blood flow, hematomas may occur.
You don't have to stop blood circulation for too long due to blood pressure measurement.
In case of device malfunction, remove the cuff from the arm.
Apply the cuff to the upper arm only.
Do not apply the cuff to other parts of the body.
If swallowed, the small parts of the product are a choking hazard for small children.
For this reason, they must be supervised at all times.
Do not drop or step on the device or shake the device.
Do not disassemble the device, as this may result in damage, malfunctions and malfunctions.
To avoid side-to-side differences, the measurement should be done on both arms initially.
Never use the device during maintenance work.
Maintenance work includes maintenance, inspection and remediation (repair).
The tensiometer consists of precision components and electronic components.
The accuracy of the measured values and the lifetime of the device depend on its careful handling.
Protect the device against shocks, moisture, impurities, strong temperature fluctuations and direct sunlight.
Before taking the measurement, bring the device to room temperature.
If the measuring device has been stored at a temperature close to the maximum or minimum storage and transportation temperature and is brought into an environment with a temperature of 20 °C, it is recommended to wait approximately 2 hours before using the measuring device.
Do not use the device near strong electromagnetic fields, do not place it near radio equipment and mobile phones.
If the device is not used for a long time, we recommend removing the batteries.
Avoid mechanically squeezing, compressing or bending the cuff tubing.
If battery cell fluid comes into contact with skin or eyes, flush affected areas with water and seek medical attention.
Protect batteries from excessive heat.
Danger of swallowing! Small children can swallow batteries and suffocate. Therefore, keep batteries out of the reach of small children!
If swallowed, seek medical attention immediately.
Danger of explosion! Do not dispose of batteries in fire.
If one of the batteries has leaked, put on protective gloves and clean the battery compartment with a dry cloth.
Do not disassemble, open or tear the batteries.
Observe the Plus (+) and Minus (-) polarity markings.
Batteries must not be short-circuited.
Use only the chargers indicated in the instructions for use.
Batteries must be properly charged before use. For correct charging, you must always follow the manufacturer's instructions, i.e. the information in the instructions for use.
Fully charge the battery at least once every 3 months.
Before first use, fully charge the battery.
