The PIPA lite shell is certified R129, this being a new EU Safety Regulation for car seats for children and classifying the seats according to the child's height (cm).

Why is R129 safer?
• Provides better protection for the head, neck and spine of the little one because the seats are subjected to additional tests for frontal impact (speed of 50 km/h), side impact (speed of 24 km/h) and rear impact (speed of 30 km /h)
• It uses high-tech, high-performance Q-type mannequins, with extremely precise and sensitive sensors, specially designed to simulate the fragility of a newborn's body.
The sensors are located in critical areas: head, neck, chest, pelvis
• Requires that the little ones are transported rear-facing up to 15 months
Traveling in rear facing mode reduces the force of the impact, thus protecting the neck and spine of the little one 5 times more than forward facing

The PIPA lite car seat corresponds to the ECE R129/03 safety standard, which means that it offers better protection for the head, neck and spine of the little one. Why? The R129 homologated products were additionally tested for impact: frontal impact (at a speed of min. 50 km/h), side impact (at a speed of min. 24 km/h) and rear impact (at a speed of min. 30 km/h).
The shell includes side impact protections to provide increased safety for the little one, and the 3-point harness has comfortable shoulder protection, lower buckles and tightens with one easy pull.
It is GREENGUARD Gold certified - Products that have such certifications mean that they have been rigorously tested and certified to comply with the strictest standards regarding emissions of over 360 volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and chemical emissions.

COMFORTABLE
The PIPA lite head support and body insert are made from a combination of organic Merino wool and TENCEL™ lyocell fibers, which are soft on baby's delicate skin and naturally control moisture.
From the fabric to the foam, each element is carefully selected to be fire resistant and contain no added flame retardant chemicals, making it safer for baby.
The textile material of the seat and the inserts for the body are machine washable, and the ecological leather carrying handle offers a safer grip.
