Maca is a so-called superfood , a plant native to Peru that has been used since time immemorial. Maca does not directly increase testosterone, but increases its precursor DHEA , the most abundant hormone circulating in the body, which serves as the basis for the synthesis of all other androgens (in men) and estrogens (in women). It increases performance and resistance, helps to improve fertility and optimizes the hormonal system. The ideal dose seems to be between 1500 and 3000 mg (Testo Virus Part 2 in the HC dose provides 1000 mg of 4:1 extract = 4000 mg of dried Maca root).

Fenusterols®

Fenusterols® is an extract obtained from fenugreek seeds and is standardized to contain at least 50% steroidal saponins . It has a significant effect on the release of luteinizing hormone (LH). LH, in turn, signals the pituitary gland to produce more testosterone , and a higher testosterone level logically has an impact on athletic performance. The mechanism of action of hormone release is related to the conversion of cholesterol into active hormones, which leads to a simultaneous decrease in plasma cholesterol levels. In addition to testosterone, fenugreek has the effect of increasing libido and reducing DHT.

Ashwagandha

Ashwagandha is an adaptogen and one of the most important Ayurvedic herbs. Helps optimize testosterone in strength-trained men, has a cortisol-reducing effect (stress protection, calming). It increases the release of luteinizing hormone (similar to fenugreek), thus causing a synergistic effect and thus helping testosterone levels. The ideal dose seems to be between 300 and 500 mg, Testo Virus Part 2 offers 500 mg in the HC dose.

Forslean®

ForsLean® contains a patented extract from the roots of the Coleus forskohlii plant, which is standardized to a forskolin content of 10% . Forskolin is traditionally known for its wide range of benefits, but it has gained the attention of scientists for its action as a non-adrenergic stimulator of the enzyme adenylate cyclase, which has a supporting role in weight regulation and the promotion of lean muscle mass . According to this study, forskolin has an effect on testosterone levels, where compared to the placebo group, there was an increase in free testosterone levels ( 16.77% versus 1.08%).
