How to use:
For external use only on skin wounds. Octenilin wound gel is suitable for long-term use. Long-term use of octenilline gel on wounds should be done under medical supervision. At the same time as debriding the wound, the wound should always be rinsed and cleaned first so that easily removable dressings are removed before further dressing the wound with octenyline wound gel. Cover the wound completely with octenillin wound gel (1-5 mm). To cover or fill a wound, Octeniline Wound Gel can be applied to poultices, gauze, compresses, and other absorbent or wound-filling materials. By moisturizing the wound surface, it is possible to easily break the dressings and remove them at the next dressing change. Octenilin Wound Gel can remain on the wound until the next dressing change. The frequency of dressing changes depends on the nature of the wound and the amount of exudate and must be adapted to the specific situation and condition of the wound, but should occur after a max. 3 days. In combination with lubricated gauze, the dressing should be changed daily and the wound cleaned. Care should be taken to choose an appropriate dressing for a particular healing phase. The secondary dressing must be so good that, on the one hand, the gel does not dry out and, on the other hand, the edges of the wound and the skin around the wound do not macerate. Patients with chronic wounds are often sensitive to temperature changes. Octeniline Wound Gel can be warmed to body temperature immediately before use. To minimize the risk of transfer of microorganisms to the wound, it is recommended to thoroughly clean the entire wound area over a large area using octenilin® wound rinse solution.
