Description:

The chasen is a traditional Japanese whisk, made from a single piece of bamboo, essential for brewing a smooth and frothy matcha tea. Used for centuries in the Japanese tea ceremony, it provides an airy texture and an authentic experience.

How to use:

Before first use – Rinse the cloth under running water and let it soak in a bowl of hot water for 1 minute. Drying must be done on a special support.
Before each use – Soak the cloth for a few seconds in warm water to extend its life.
Preparation of matcha :

1. Add matcha powder to a bowl.
2. Pour water at a maximum temperature of 80°C .
3. Mix vigorously with back-and-forth motions in an M or W shape to achieve a fine lather.

Caution: Do not press the Chasen against the bottom or sides of the bowl to avoid damaging the bamboo threads.

Rinse it after each use and let it dry completely in a ventilated place.
Do not wash it in the dishwasher.
Do not store the Chasen in its original box as it is not suitable for long-term storage.
