Dressing for the treatment of wounds with a polyurethane upper layer, permeable to water vapor. The strong capillary effect of the hydrophilic porous structure allows the rapid transfer of exudate and ensures a moist, balanced environment, bacteria and dead cells remaining trapped in the dressing, even when pressure is applied.
PermaFoam is a soft, fine dressing with good buffering properties; available in different sizes and shapes.
PermaFoam and PermaFoam comfort are indicated for the treatment of non-infected wounds, with a moderate-high level of exudate in the wound cleaning and granulation stage; especially for chronic wounds (such as diabetic foot or decubitus ulcer). It is recommended in the treatment of venous leg ulcers, in combination with a compression treatment, but also for the treatment of burns up to degree 2A. For deeper wounds or difficult-to-treat problem areas, PermaFoam cavity is recommended.
