The ideal water temperature for applying Scotchcast is 20-22˚ C (room temperature).
Cold water prolongs the setting time, while hot water shortens the setting time.
Immerse the roll of material in water at room temperature and squeeze it 3 times while submerged.
This will cause the material to harden in about 3 minutes.
Immersing the roll in water at room temperature without wringing will determine the fixing in a 4-minute interval.
The application of the dry material and the subsequent addition of water will determine the fixation in an interval of 6 minutes.
