Acustivum

Acustivum is available on the market in the following forms:

Acustivum ear spray, 20 ml, Zdrovit;

Acustivum ear spray for pain, 20 ml, Zdrovit.

Acustivum is recommended for the following types of problems:

• Some people may produce an increased amount of earwax, which can lead to wax build-up and hearing problems. Acustivum can help dissolve and remove these wax plugs.
• Wax plugs can obstruct the ear canal and cause discomfort or temporary hearing loss. Acustivum facilitates the dissolution and removal of these plugs, thus restoring normal hearing function.
• Some people may have a deformed or narrow external ear canal, which can promote the accumulation and drying of earwax, leading to the formation of wax plugs. Acustivum helps maintain the moisture and elasticity of earwax, preventing the formation of plugs and ensuring ear canal hygiene.
• Regular use of headphones can affect the natural balance of earwax and increase the risk of wax plugs forming. Acustivum helps prevent and dissolve these plugs, ensuring proper ear hygiene and maintaining optimal hearing function.
• Water activities can cause water and moisture to accumulate in the ear, which can promote the formation of wax plugs. Acustivum can be used prophylactically to prevent such blockages and maintain proper ear hygiene during water sports.
• After ear surgery, there may be an increased need to maintain ear canal hygiene and prevent the formation of wax plugs. In these cases, Acustivum should only be used with medical approval.
• Acustivum may also be useful for people who are frequently exposed to loud noise, such as workers in noisy industries or those who have attended concerts or events with amplified music.
• Hearing aid users may have an increased tendency to form wax plugs due to the obstruction of the ear canal by the hearing device. Acustivum can be used to prevent and dissolve these plugs, ensuring optimal hearing function and preventing associated discomfort.
• Certain medical or anatomical conditions may increase susceptibility to wax plug formation. These may include skin conditions, disorders of the ceruminous glands, or structural abnormalities of the external ear canal. In such cases, Acustivum can be used to keep the ear canal clean and prevent blockage caused by cerumen.

Acustivum should not be used in cases of ear disease, tympanic perforations or the presence of a foreign body in the ear.

Acustivum contains sunflower oil, sweet almond oil, liquid paraffin, olive oil, jojoba oil, polysorbate 80, PPG-8, tocopherol (vitamin E), ascorbyl palmitate (vitamin C), ascorbic acid (vitamin C) and citric acid.

Children and infants over 6 months: one spray in the external ear canal.

 Adults: 1-2 sprays in the external ear canal.

Dissolving wax plugs: Use 3-5 times a day until the wax residue is completely dissolved.

Prophylactic use and ear hygiene: Use 1-2 times a week to prevent ear blockage with wax plugs. Use before bathing to prevent water retention in the ear.

Acustivum is generally well tolerated. Skin irritation, discomfort or redness of the ear may rarely occur. If unusual side effects occur, discontinue use and seek advice from your doctor or pharmacist.
