Basic principles of healthy digestion: what helps keep your stomach healthy
Description Anaftin
The information in the FAQ section was created by the Liki24.co.uk team and is based on the official manufacturer's manual
Anaftin mouthwash is recommended for multiple minor lesions and mouth ulcers, as well as for patients with orthodontic appliances. It works by covering ulcerative lesions of the oral mucosa with a protective film and quickly relieves pain.
How does Anaftin work?
Anaftin covers the ulcers with a film that protects the exposed nerve endings of the lesion (aphtha) from further irritation, thus reducing pain and promoting healing. Furthermore, the protective film helps prevent infection of the aphtha.
The hyaluronic acid in the composition works by retaining water and creating an environment that helps the damaged tissue to heal.
Aloe vera intensifies the moisturising effect and helps to soothe and relieve irritation.
What are the benefits of Anaftin?

Which is better: Anaftin or Aftiblock?
Although they have different compositions, both form a protective film on the surface of the oral mucosa and are used to protect against irritation and relieve pain.

What is Anaftin gel?
Anaftin Gel reduces the intensity of pain caused by minor mouth sores such as those caused by aphthous stomatitis, aphthous ulcers, as well as minor injuries caused by dental appliances and dentures. It is also indicated for diffuse aphthous ulcers.
The cause of aphthous stomatitis is unclear, but there are several contributing factors. For example, dietary factors: high consumption of nuts, highly spiced foods, honey and, last but not least, a weakened immune system. Aphthous stomatitis occurs frequently in immunosuppressed individuals, people under high stress or those undergoing antibiotic treatment.
How is Anaftin gel administered?
Apply 1 or 2 drops of gel to cover the entire area of the ulcer or mouth lesion. Avoid direct contact between the applicator and the lesion. Do not touch the lesion with your tongue for at least 2 minutes to allow the protective film to form. Replace the cap after each application. For best results, avoid eating or drinking for at least one hour after applying the gel. Use 3-4 times a day or more often if necessary.
Can Anaftin be used to treat mouth ulcers caused by wearing braces?
Mouth ulcers caused by dental braces can be recurrent, single or multiple, affecting both accessible areas of the oral mucosa and inaccessible areas (located deep in the oral cavity). Furthermore, their nature may change from month to month, depending on the adjustment of the dental appliance, but also on other factors related to hygiene, immunity, diet, etc.
It is important to be aware of all these aspects in order to choose the best product for treating mouth ulcers, depending on their characteristics.
You can opt for mouthwash, gel or spray products with a special device to facilitate access to mouth ulcers located deep in the oral cavity. All these products are available in the Anaftin range, with key ingredients such as polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP), hyaluronic acid and aloe vera barbadensis. These prevent mouth ulcers by forming a protective film in the mouth, quickly and effectively reducing pain by forming a film that protects the nerve endings from irritants.
