Description Cicatridina
The information in the FAQ section was created by the Liki24.co.uk team and is based on the official manufacturer's manual
Cicatridina is a topical medication based on hyaluronic acid, which helps moisturise and speed up the healing of wounds. There are several products designed specifically for treating wounds in certain areas.
Forms of release
The products in the Cicatridina range contain hyaluronic acid (sodium hyaluronate) as their active ingredient, a substance with powerful moisturising properties that also stimulates tissue repair by promoting the regeneration of epithelial cells. There are formulas specially designed for different areas and conditions, enriched with various oils or vitamins, which act specifically on the affected area.
The Cicatridina product range includes:
- Cicatridina ointment
- Cicatridina suppositories
- Cicatridina ovules
- Cicatridina nasal ointment
- Cicatridina spray
Indications for use
Cicatridina ointment, thanks to its hyaluronic acid content, provides the skin with hydration and structural support, playing a beneficial role in increasing the elasticity of the skin. It supports the repair of superficial lesions (cracks, scratches, first- and second-degree burns, superficial cuts) or deeper lesions (post-surgical scars, skin ulcers, inflammation caused by bedsores). You can use the ointment after cosmetic procedures that irritate the skin, such as peeling, hair removal or laser treatments. The hyaluronic acid in Cicatridina ointment also soothes irritation and redness.
Cicatridina spray acts quickly on lesions, regardless of their nature. The spray works in two stages: it creates a layer on the surface of the wound, where it stops bleeding, and then forms a protective film that helps the wound heal quickly and aesthetically.
Cicatridina nasal acts as a protective and moisturising agent on the nasal mucosa and is recommended for dryness and irritation caused by environmental factors (pollution), pharmacological treatments or conditions such as rhinitis or sinusitis. Cicatridina nasal is also recommended after surgery, superficial lesions of the mucosa or in cases of nasal bleeding or epistaxis. It can be used to prevent nasal crusting, but also when these are already present. The ointment can also be used on the perinasal skin.
Cicatridine suppositories are recommended for the treatment of anal fissures, proctitis or ano-rectal lesions after proctological procedures or ano-rectal surgery, for rapid recovery and complete healing. You can also use Cicatridine suppositories for internal and external haemorrhoids.
Cicatrina vaginal ovules are indicated for stimulating the healing of the vaginal mucosa after surgery, childbirth or in cases of vaginal dryness caused by oestrogen deficiency, including during premenopause and menopause. Cicatridina ovules may also be useful for stimulating healing in lesions caused by chemotherapy or ionising radiation.
Dosage and administration
- Administration of Cicatridina ointment: After thoroughly washing your hands, apply Cicatridina ointment to the affected area with gentle massaging movements. Two to three applications per day may be necessary, or use as recommended by your doctor.
- Administration of Cicatridina spray: Before applying the spray, it is recommended to clean the affected area with hydrogen peroxide or soap and water to prevent infection. Apply 2-3 times a day. One of the benefits of the spray is that you do not have to touch the affected area to apply the product, thus helping to reduce pain.
- Administration of Cicatridina nasal ointment: Cicatridina nasal ointment can be used from the age of 3 years. The dose will be determined according to the size of the affected area, and a thin layer should be applied to the nostrils and the perinasal area. It can be applied 2-3 times a day.
- Administration of Cicatridina suppositories: Before inserting the suppository completely, ensure that your hands are thoroughly clean. Also wash your hands after applying the suppository. Use only one suppository per day.
- Administration of Cicatridina vaginal ovules: Ensure good hand hygiene before applying a Cicatridina vaginal ovule. Insert the vaginal ovule as deeply as possible. It is recommended to apply vaginal ovules in the evening before bedtime. Use Cicatridina vaginal ovules once a day.
