Description Feroglobin

The information in the FAQ section was created by the Liki24.co.uk team and is based on the official manufacturer's manual

Feroglobin is a dietary supplement containing a complex of iron, minerals and vitamins, recommended for people suffering from iron deficiency, iron deficiency anaemia or other types of anaemia to restore haemoglobin and erythrocytes (red blood cells).

What does Feroglobin contain?

Feroglobin contains 17 mg of iron citrate in its organic form, which is easily absorbed by the digestive system, as well as 12 mg of zinc, 2 mg of copper, 400 mcg of folic acid, 5 mg of vitamin B6 (pyridoxine) and 10 mcg of vitamin B12 (cyanocobalamin).

What is Feroglobin recommended for?

Feroglobin is a dietary supplement recommended for maintaining and restoring normal iron levels in the blood, as well as for treating iron deficiency in the body's stores.

Iron is an essential element in the production of haemoglobin, the main component of red blood cells (haemocytes). Feroglobin stimulates the body's energy metabolism, reduces fatigue and exhaustion, ensuring well-being and proper functioning.

Who is Feroglobin recommended for?

Feroglobin is recommended for the treatment of iron deficiency anaemia when there are nutritional imbalances due to an inadequate diet. Feroglobin may be recommended as an adjunct in the treatment of anaemia from other causes: anaemia due to gastrointestinal bleeding, anaemia due to digestive disorders such as gluten enteropathy.

Feroglobin is recommended for women during menstruation to replace monthly losses, as well as for pregnant or breastfeeding women. During pregnancy, there is an increased consumption of iron and folic acid, and Feroglobin prevents serious complications such as miscarriage, haemorrhage or premature birth.

Feroglobin can be administered to children and adolescents, especially during growth, for normal neuropsychological and motor development. Feroglobin normalises appetite and helps them cope with unhealthy food temptations.

How is Feroglobin administered?

Feroglobin is a dietary supplement available in capsule, syrup or effervescent tablet form. Feroglobin capsules are taken once a day before a meal. Feroglobin syrup is administered 1 teaspoon twice a day (5 ml x 2/day). Feroglobin effervescent tablets should be taken once a day dissolved in a glass of water.

From what age can Feroglobin be administered?

Feroglobin can be administered to the whole family, both adults and children over 3 years of age. Feroglobin Fizz effervescent tablets are not recommended for children under 12 years of age.

Can Feroglobin be taken during pregnancy or while breastfeeding?

If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking any iron supplements. During pregnancy, iron requirements increase significantly and therefore iron should be administered in the second half of pregnancy, especially if tests indicate iron deficiency. Feroglobin can also be administered during breastfeeding.

Are there any contraindications for taking Feroglobin?

Feroglobin is contraindicated in people who are allergic to iron or any of the active ingredients or components of this medicine. Feroglobin is contraindicated in people suffering from gastrointestinal disorders, haemochromatosis, haemosiderosis, chronic haemolysis, sideroblastic anaemia, thalassaemia, haemolytic anaemia or pernicious anaemia.

What side effects can Feroglobin have?

Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. Feroglobin may cause a feeling of fullness, abdominal pain, abdominal cramps, nausea, vomiting or diarrhoea.

Feroglobin effervescent tablets may have unwanted laxative effects. Feroglobin may sometimes cause black stools. If you experience any side effects, stop taking Feroglobin and contact your doctor immediately.
