Kebene

Kebene Plus contains 50 mg of simethicone and 300 mg of medicinal charcoal as active ingredients. Kebene Forte contains 80 mg of simethicone, and Kebene Extra contains 240 mg of simethicone. Simethicone is a polydimethylsiloxane, a substance that modifies the surface tension of the film of gas bubbles accumulated in the stomach and intestines, causing them to disintegrate.

Kebene symptomatically treats gastrointestinal disorders caused by the accumulation of gas in the intestine. Kebene relieves bloating, flatulence and intestinal noises caused by meteorism. Kebene Extra can be used to prepare for diagnostic abdominal examinations such as X-rays or ultrasound.

Kebene releases stomach and intestinal gas, which is then absorbed into the intestinal wall and eliminated by peristalsis. Simethicone acts quickly, breaking down completely in the intestinal environment within an hour. Kebene acts mechanically and is not involved in chemical reactions. The active substance in Kebene is pharmacologically and physiologically inert.

Kebenne is administered 2-3 times a day, one capsule with a sufficient amount of water. Kebene can be taken during or after meals. For pre-diagnostic preparation, Kebene is taken 1 capsule the evening before and 1 capsule on the day of the examination on an empty stomach.

Kebene is recommended for adults and adolescents over 14 years of age.

Kebene Plus, Kebene Forte and Kebene Extra are available for adults.

Kebene Pro Baby is available for children. This medicine can be given to infants, children and adolescents under 14 years of age on the advice of a doctor and in accordance with the package leaflet.

Kebene Plus or Forte can be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding. No negative effects are expected after taking Kebene during pregnancy or breastfeeding, but a recommendation and a strict risk-benefit assessment by your doctor are necessary.

Kebene is contraindicated in people who are allergic to any of the active ingredients or components of this medicine.

Alcohol consumption is not contraindicated during treatment with Kebene.

No side effects are known from taking Kebene. If side effects occur, stop taking the medicine and consult your doctor.

It is recommended to take Kebene at a distance from other oral medicines, as the active substances in its composition may decrease their absorption and effectiveness.

Carbocit and Kebene contain different active substances. Carbocit is a dietary supplement containing 250 mg of medicinal activated charcoal, which is also recommended for bloating and flatulence. Kebene contains simethicone as its active substance.

Espumisan and Kebene contain the same active ingredient (simethicone) and have the same therapeutic purpose. The difference between the two medicines is the concentration of the active ingredient.

Degasil and Kebene contain the same active ingredient (simethicone) and have the same therapeutic purpose. Degasil contains a higher concentration of simethicone than Kebene forte.

Compared to Kebene Forte, Kebene Plus contains a lower concentration of simethicone. Kebene Plus also contains medicinal charcoal.
