Lyprinol

Lyprinol is described as having benefits for the osteoarticular and cardiovascular systems (properties affecting heart rate and blood pressure) and the nervous system. The manufacturer also states that Lyprinol has benefits in maintaining the normal functioning of physiological processes at the cellular level, in the lymphatic, endocrine, respiratory, digestive and renal-urinary systems.

The preparation contains a formula based on long-chain polyunsaturated fatty acids, with the manufacturer stating that Lyprinol has anti-inflammatory benefits.

For the advanced formula, the manufacturer specifies benefits for Lyprinol in terms of faster recovery after prolonged physical or intellectual effort or during convalescence, promoting growth and development of the body and improving quality of life.

The standard version of Lyprinol contains green-lipped mussel oil extract, Perna Canaliculus from New Zealand, natural vitamin E (0.225 mg), olive oil, and the capsule contains glycerine, sorbitol and gelatin.

The advanced Lyprinol formula also contains Antarctic krill oil extract.

The manufacturer recommends taking Lyprinol in a dose of 2 capsules per day, 1 capsule in the morning and 1 capsule in the evening, which can be taken during or after meals.

There is also the option of an initial dose of 4 capsules per day (2 capsules in the morning and 2 capsules in the evening) for a period of 2-4-6 weeks, followed by the standard dose.

For children aged 3 to 12 years, 3 capsules/day for 4 weeks is recommended, followed by the standard dose of 1-2 capsules/day.

The dosage is similar for both the standard preparation and the Lyprinol Advanced formula.

The manufacturer recommends a minimum treatment period of 2-3 months without interruption. Treatment courses of 3-6-9 months without interruption may also be taken. The medicine can be used long term.

The manufacturer specifies contraindications for Lyprinol in children under 3 years of age, as well as in pregnant and breastfeeding women, as these patient groups require evaluation by a doctor before administration.

However, although no explicit contraindications are mentioned for Lyprinol, it is preferable that patients with renal and/or chronic insufficiency avoid taking medicines and food supplements without the approval of their doctor.

No, Lyprinol does not cause weight gain, but excess calories (consuming an inappropriate amount of food relative to your daily energy requirements) do. The manufacturer does not report increased appetite during treatment with Lyprinol.

The choice between Lyprinol and Tripernol depends on your preferences, as both preparations contain green-lipped mussel oil extract. If your doctor has recommended Omega 3 supplementation to control dyslipidaemia, we recommend choosing a standardised Omega 3 product.
