Advil Duo contains two active substances (which determine the action of the medicine). These are paracetamol and ibuprofen.

Ibuprofen belongs to a group of medicines called non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). NSAIDs work by reducing pain, reducing inflammation and lowering fever.

Paracetamol is a painkiller that works in a different way to ibuprofen to relieve pain and fever.

Advil Duo is used for the short-term symptomatic treatment of mild to moderate pain associated with migraine, headache, back pain, menstrual pain, toothache, rheumatic and muscular pain, pain from non-severe forms of arthritis, cold and flu symptoms, sore throat and fever.

This medicine is particularly suitable for pain that has not been relieved by ibuprofen or paracetamol alone.

Advil Duo is intended for adults aged 18 and over.

Do not take Advil Duo if:
- you are allergic to ibuprofen, paracetamol or any of the other ingredients of this medicine (listed in section 6).

Task:
Do not take Advil Duo if you are in the last 3 months of pregnancy, as it may harm your unborn baby or cause problems during delivery. It may cause kidney and heart problems in your baby. It may affect your and your baby's bleeding tendencies and may cause labor to come later or last longer than expected.

You should not take Advil Duo during the first 6 months of pregnancy unless absolutely necessary and recommended by your doctor. If you need treatment during this time or while trying to get pregnant, the lowest dose should be used for the shortest possible time.
Starting from the 20th week of pregnancy, Advil Duo can cause kidney problems in the fetus if taken for more than a few days, which can lead to low levels of amniotic fluid surrounding the fetus (oligohydramnios) or narrowing of a blood vessel (ductus arteriosus) in the fetus's heart. Advil Duo contains sodium:
This medicine contains less than 1 mmol sodium (23 mg) per dose, that is to say essentially “sodium-free”.

Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

For oral administration and for short-term use only.

Take the lowest dose for the shortest time necessary to treat your symptoms. If you have an infection, see a doctor immediately if your symptoms (such as fever and pain) do not go away or get worse (see section 2).
If you have liver or kidney problems or are elderly, your doctor will tell you the correct dose, which will be the lowest possible. Do not take this medicine if you have severe kidney or liver failure.
Advil Duo should not be taken for more than 3 days. If symptoms do not improve after 3 days of treatment, you should consult your doctor.

Adults:
Take one tablet, up to 3 times a day.
The interval between administrations is at least 6 hours.
If one tablet does not relieve symptoms, then a maximum of 2 tablets can be taken, up to 3 times a day. A single dose of two tablets is intended for patients with a body weight of 60 kg or more. The interval between administrations is at least 6 hours.
Do not take more than 6 tablets in a 24-hour period (equivalent to 3000 mg paracetamol, 1200 mg ibuprofen per day).
Take Advil Duo with a glass of water.
To reduce the likelihood of side effects, take Advil Duo with food.

Use in children and adolescents:
Not for use by children and adolescents under 18 years of age.
