Effective protection against evaporation

A lipid (oil) phase leads to premature evaporation of the tear film, resulting in dry, burning, or watery eyes. ^EvoTears® replaces this lipid phase and has therefore proven effective in treating the primary cause of dry eyes: lipid phase dysfunction.

These eye drops owe their effectiveness and good tolerability to the innovative ingredient perfluorohexyloctane and their anhydrous composition. Perfluorohexyloctane spreads very quickly across the tear film, forming a protective layer. This effectively prevents premature evaporation and helps prevent dry eyes, for example, caused by prolonged screen work. Since the substance has the same refractive index as tears, it does not impair vision. ^EvoTears® eye drops are characterized by their high yield – up to 280 drops per 3 ml – and low frequency of application.

Water-free eye drops for dry eyes

^EvoTears® eye drops are the first anhydrous drops developed to treat dry eyes. Being anhydrous offers crucial advantages: no pH value and therefore no need for pH stabilizers.
