Hydrocoll thin
The thinner hydrocolloid dressing with lower absorption capacity is preferably used in the epithelialization phase.
Hydrocoll is an absorbent, self-adhesive hydrocolloid dressing with a semipermeable, germ-proof top layer. It creates a moist wound environment through gel conversion of the hydrocolloid dressing components, with the gel remaining absorbent until the hydrocolloids are saturated. It promotes granulation and epithelialization. It can be removed without wound irritation and is available in various designs and sizes.
Application:
For moist wound treatment of clinically non-infected, weakly to moderately exuding wounds, especially wounds with poor healing tendencies and prolonged granulation development, e.g., leg ulcers or pressure sores. Hydrocoll sacral is used for pressure ulcers in the sacral area, Hydrocoll concave for the heel or elbow.
