This combination is the basis of its unique mode of action: The liquid solution has a low surface tension, allowing it to spread particularly well and evenly. This enables LOYON to penetrate both under and between individual scales, softening them. The cohesion of the corneocytes is reduced, and scales and crusts are easily and gently removed from the underlying skin layer. The effect is purely mechanical, without the ingredients being absorbed by the skin. Therefore, LOYON is well-tolerated and can also be used during pregnancy, while breastfeeding, and on babies.
