Sodium butyrate (butyric acid) coated Pureo ^® Health is a food for special medical purposes containing a salt of butyric acid. This ingredient is in the form of coated microcapsules that are enclosed in an enteric capsule. The coating technology slows down the release of the active substance, thanks to which the butyric acid works more efficiently in the intestines. This action is supported by the enteric capsule, which releases the active substance only in the small intestine.

Sodium butyrate in food management

• in functional intestinal disorders, such as: irritable bowel syndrome, chronic abdominal pain,
• in sharp objects of various origins,
• in inflammatory bowel diseases,
• in diverticular disease,
• in intestinal inflammation after radiotherapy and/or chemotherapy,
• after surgical procedures in the digestive tract,
• in disorders of the proper composition of the intestinal flora, including after long-term antibiotic therapy, in the course of chronic diseases,
• in nutritional deficiencies (insufficient supply, diet with low residues).

The preparation provides up to 600 mg of sodium butyrate in one capsule, including up to 430 mg of valuable butyric acid. No unnecessary additives and fillers. It is suitable for vegans.
