G-Tube gastrostomy tube

Description
Medical device CE class IIB (Directive 93/42/EEC).
Long-term enteral nutrition. Gastric decompression. G-Tube gastrostomy tubes are silicone tubes with a balloon used to replace an existing tube (PEG tube or anterior gastrostomy tube) or as the main tube during surgery.
Gastrostomy tubes are made of silicone, provided with graduated notches and characterized by:
water injection port with lid and indication of maximum filling volume;
nutrient delivery route with sealed cap;
silicone balloon equipped with a radio-optic line that allows the evaluation of the correct positioning of the probe;
external silicone fixing disc that allows easy folding;
a quick-release clamp to prevent reflux of nutrients or gastric juices.
The device is free of latex and phthalates.
The product is sterilized with ethylene oxide.

recommendation
Polyurethane/silicone tubes should only be lubricated with water or a water-soluble gel. Tubes should be flushed with 20-50 ml of water before and after meals and medications, at least three times a day to prevent tube blockage. The G-Tube gastrostomy tube is designed to last for several months. The lifespan of the tube depends on several factors, including the medications being administered, gastric pH, the patient’s gastric motility, the length of use, and routine tube maintenance.
